Multi-Lifter These versatile lifters offer ease of use combined with a reliable non-hydraulic design. By simple multiplication of mechanical effort, high cover breakout forces are achieved. Multi-Lifter breaks down into three compact components and fits into the boot of a small car.
These powerful and rugged units have been designed with the lifting and handling regulations in mind. By utilising a self-braking hand winch and by keeping within the HSE limits Multi-Lifter goes a long way towards minimising the risk of painful and long lasting back injuries (45% of all lifting injuries are to the back). Available with a range of standard keys or keys to match the customers exact cover requirements.
Designed for use by one person the Multi-Lifter system incorporates a range of accessories to suit most applications and make operations such as lifting heavy split-diagonal road covers easier and safer. Precise control of cover replacement helps minimise potential pavement trip hazards.
The webbing lift system can also be used to retrieve or raise heavy objects (up to 250kg) such as bell covers from within the access chamber. A testing certificate is provided with all Multi-Lifters. A full operational video is available on DVD upon request.

Standard generic keys are supplied with all lifting products, however there are many varieties of access cover requiring different key sizes.

The Midi-Lifter is light, easily transported and can be manufactured to fit any width of cover. Recent trials by customers have revealed that many covers have been lifted that could not be removed by other means, due to the high breakout forces achievable. Designed for the electricity supply industry the Pole Turning Arm enables the operator to turn poles safely with the minimum of effort and without damaging the pole itself.
The arm may be detached from the main body of the unit to facilitate storage in vehicles. The unit is zinc-plated and the short-link chain is fully tested to British Standard Specification BSEN818.
Switchgear Covers These Long & Crawford T4GF3 switchgear covers are specifically designed to offer protection against vandalism and unauthorised operation. They provide protection of the gear from the elements and allow the replacement of HV fuses and testing under cover without the need to sheet up.
The lid is spring-assisted, requiring minimum effort to raise, it also has a safety ratchet and concealed locking arrangement. Built entirely of abraided finish stainless steel, the unit requires no maintenance.
Jack-Lifter Designed to remove block-filled access covers in shopping precincts and other locations, these powerful lifters rated at 250kg will lift covers safely and with ease. The Jack-Lifter breaks down into a narrow three-wheeled trolley allowing easy transportation to pedestrian sites by a single operator. The powerful jack mechanism may be operated manually or by the use of a standard battery drill reducing cover removal time.
